A 78 lap Monaco with one DNF

Williams finished 15th and 18th with more team consistency race by race. We had Leclerc DNF with a tyre issue on lap 16 with eight teams a lap behind the frontrunners. Nineteen or the 20 cars that started also finished the race, a feat on it’s own at the street circuit.

Max Verstappen was penalised 5 seconds for an unsafe pit release entering into the lane causing Bottas to re-pit for some minor repair. Verstappen was relegated back to 4th place as he put a lot of pressure onto Lewis Hamilton is the closing stages of the race.

Valtteri Bottas was going to watch Finland play Canada in the hockey on TV to relax post race after the disappointment in his race and the larger points deficit to his team mate. “I am going to sit and watch the game, maybe a cold drink as well”.
